WARRRR MOVIEEEE. This movie just hit the spot. It fit right between the gap of history and action for me and I liked it. This movie was a very pleasing movie. I liked how many stills were used and how the director took his time.
I didn’t like how much time they spent in the ocean though. Like I wish I had skipped through that part it was so boring. Like yay sharks and bullets and stuff. I didn’t understand why he needed to put like 30 minutes of that in there. And his 1 buddy survived but then they got separated. I also liked the scene where he was holding that log because everything stood still just like at the Olympics.

Great watch. This movie has probably one of my favorite opening scene. Just everyone being gunned down left and right just sets the tone for the movie. But so how did they get a video of that to show him? And how did he survive getting shot that many times in the opening scene?
I cannot see Micheal Keaton as anybody other that the villain from Spider-Man though. He just is ingrained in my mind as that character. He played this part super well though. It was very John Wick vibe to me. Dylan O’Brian isn’t a trained fighter and sort of messy but he definitely gets the job done and his determination is insane. This movie was a solid movie and I will stand by that no matter what. The mix of comedy and action is a great fit for movies I like to watch. I liked the beginning where they sing the song while passing Bilbos plates and silverware around. It was a cool mix of song and showed their unique skills and teamwork. I liked how all throughout the plot Bilbo just doesn’t want to be there but he absolutely cannot leave because he doesn’t want to miss them. I think that Bilbo had a mix of FOMO and also the need to prove Thorin wrong. He finds the ring and sword and these give him boosts to match the other dwarfs fighting skills. I think thee movies are like if Star Wars was based around C-3PO. He is always in the right place at the right time and just always wondering.
This movie was overall a good watch. The casting was just by itself a good idea for a comedy. It was a good family comedy to watch for me at least. A movie that a kid my age and his parents could watch and it wouldn’t be that awkward.
There are some things I didn’t like though. Mainly, the ending. The ending just crapped all over the movie and it did no justice. It was classic everything is okay and goes back to okay. Very sappy. I wish something else happened in the last like 20 minutes. It would’ve been col to see something with their kids playing some prank to come full circle to the start when they were kids. Besides that though the movie was great. I love John Cena and having him as “Rock Hard Rod” was just so funny to m. Overall, 7/10!! TOP TEIR ON MY LIST. I watched this at like 1 in the morning with Henry Thole so that made it all the better. But genuinely this was a fun movie. I’m not a huge car guy but I feel like I could do the stuff like baby driver. If I play Party in the USA I can drive like it’s nobody’s business. I cant drift but My car can go fast. Also I loved the fact that h had this old mute guy Joe that he took care of. It was a great way to humanize him and make him a lot more well liked. It set up pretty well for a Baby Driver too I thought. The boss could come back to life John Wick style and Baby gets out of jail and has to owe him a favor again.
Wow what a movie. This movie shows the rich side of life so perfectly. Just drugs, yatchs, and a certain type of all over the place. I think this was a fun watch and it is sort of an underdog movie. It shows Jordan Belford as an underdog to start and then finds a chat in the system and his huge rise to power.
I didn’t love the ending though because it was sort of quick and not super explanatory. I needed a breakdown of what happened to each individual character. Overall this movie was good and definitely a watch again. I would give this a 6.5 out of 10. Mr. H hated on this movie but if you ask me it is top tier. I thought that thi version of Louis Lane and Clark Kent is awesome. Henry Cavill needs to play Superman again I don’t want anyone else.
I liked the viewpoint that Superman is a man of both worlds as well. But some things definitely confused me. I didn’t like how it strayed from the comics though. Like why did Superman get weak in space? He flys in space all the time just like Captain Marvel yet in this he gets dark and is severely affected by it. And why is his like nerdy space dad an absolute boss that jumps off of huge cliffs into tiny pits of water. All of that being said I really did like this movie. The fight scenes are absolutely amazing, the scene whe they it started wrecking a small town was so funny to me. There was literally a train thrown into a huge shopping mall and exploded that realistically should’ve murdered hundreds of people. Overall This movie was a 7/10. I thought this was a top tier romcom. If you haven’t figured out I am a sucker for rom coms. They have always been a guilty pleasure watch for me. I don’t know how I hadn’t seen this movie either. At first I thought it was going to be kind of the nerd come t popularity kind of movie but I liked the new dynamic.
I think the character were very perfect for when this movie was made. I portrays the perfect, good girl likes the bad guy, type of thing. I wish it had explained why Heath Ledgers character was bad though. Like if he had some traumatic backstory or something. All in all I would definitely put this movie on like in the background of something. First off, I did rewatch this movie. We were talking about it in class and then I also had a conversation with my dad about going to see it the day it comes out. Although it was a rewatch I think this movie might have been better than watching it the first. There were just some points where the movie moved quickly, and you missed little hints but when you rewatch it you pick up on them.
I also loved how pretty this movie is. The contrast of worlds might be one of my favorite things in this movie. They go from a world where they basically live on an island to a world where water is treasured up to even recycling your own sweat. The scene where Paul uses his light to see the spice while in a tent is just so freaking pretty to me. Something about that was so cool. I did dislike how brisk the movie just killed everyone. It didn't happen fast, it was halfway into the movie, but to me I felt that I didn't know any of the characters at all. I think that if more detail was spent on that part the situation and severity would've been more clearly understood. Overall, it was a good movie, and I would definitely recommend. I'm excited for Dune 2. This was a good Rom-com. I like the Sydney Sweeney part to be honest. Obviously she’s very attractive but she’s lowkey a bad actress. She is just there because she’s there. She doesn’t play her part well and most of her parts aren’t actually heart-tugging while Glen Powell does an amazing job at it. Also Glen Powell is just Glen Powell.
The beginning does have a wild amount off time space and sort of like why so long. and how does someone hold that big of a grudge for that long! But once you get past all of that I enjoyed it. It definitely gave me a good laugh in some scenes and was sad in some part too. It holds a good control over the viewers emotions. All in all I think that this could go high on my ranking list, maybe top 25, but this is because I am a sucker for a good and recent rom-com. I would give it an 8/10. |
